Successfully creating a distressed, painted wood floor in situ is tricky at best, but with our new Painted & Distressed collection you can easily create this look in plank or parquet. Made using beautiful Farrow & Ball shades, these beautiful painted wood floors are gently distressed to reveal the natural timber beneath, then sealed with hardwearing hardwax oil to protect them and keep maintenance to a minimum.
They are the perfect wood flooring choice for shabby chic, skandi or vintage styled interiors, and can be made in other Farrow & Ball colours if you prefer.
Montgomery Parquet blocks are gently elegant, with just a hint of their warm red undercoat visible through the timeworn surface of Farrow & Ball Plummet grey and the natural oak beneath peeking through their softly chipped edges here and there. Create a sumptuous modern style with grey walls in the same tone and rich velvet textiles!

Montgomery Vintage Parquet is made from solid Cottage grade Oak and has softly worn edges, a gently distressed patina and a slightly textured aged surface. Sustainably sourced from Europe’s finest forests, it features larger and smaller knots and an attractive spectrum of natural colour variation.
It is available in 2 classic sizes that can be used to create herringbone and many other traditional parquet designs. Fully finished with our high performance, VOC-free hardwax oil in a matt satin sheen, it has a classic matt satin sheen and can be easily cared for using our Wood Floor Cleaner and Wood Floor Wax.
Format: Solid Parquet Block Grade: Cottage Oak Sustainability: Oak sourced from responsibly managed, PEFC and FSC certified European Forests. Surface Texture: Yes Finish: Matt Satin VOC Free Hardwax Oil Underfloor Heating: Suitable for use over UFH in line with our installation guidelines.
Our Solid Oak Vintage Parquet flooring must be glue fixed to a dry, level, load bearing subfloor with Broadleaf Ultra Adhesive or equivalent. We recommend adding a wastage allowance of 10-15% to the floor area to allow for offcuts at the edges of the floor. For full fitting recommendations and guidance see our Installation Guide.
Our floors are finished with durable hardwax oil that is designed for modern living and need only a little regular TLC to keep them looking good. Montgomery Oak Parquet flooring should be washed using our Wood Floor Cleaner, diluted in water and applied with a mop. To maintain its sheen and help repair day to day wear and tear use our Wood Floor Wax. Click here for our aftercare guide.
