Ironmongery Maintenance Wax

Beeswax is the most authentic finish for steel, naturally preserving the colours and the texture from the forge, hammer and anvil. It gives a subtle, matt richness to the metal and offers excellent protection when products are fitted internally and properly maintained. This maintenance wax is designed to restore and replenish tired beewax finishes.

Maintenance wax will replenish and feed a beeswax finish. Apply sparingly with a soft lint free cloth and then buff if desired to create patina. If you prefer you can leave the finish matt.

An extremely natural finish and a far softer alternative to a black powder coated finish. Due to temperature changes or packaging, a Beeswax finish may occasionally show signs of a white bloom upon opening which can be buffed to a gentle sheen with a soft cloth.

Behind the Scenes of Our Ironmongery

Broadleaf are manufacturers and real wood specialists, but we do not manufacture our ironmongery. This is made by our partners who are craftsmen in their own right and use beautiful natural materials and time honoured skills to produce traditional door furniture that pairs perfectly with our made to measure oak doors.
