Hawksmoor Oak Versailles Panels

Our Oak Versailles Panels have an engineered construction. Their top layer is made from carefully selected Original Face Oak, and their base layer is premium hardwood plywood.

Original Face Oak retains the gently undulating surface, natural saw marks and tactile shrunken knots created by the milling and drying process. Instead of being planed or sanded, it is cleaned with brushes which adds luxurious texture and soft patina to the grain.

Hawksmoor Versailles Panels feature attractive knots, some splits and gentle natural colour variation, which together create a rustic yet elegant floor. Smaller knots are left unfilled, and larger ones are filled by hand so the filler sits just below the surface and doesn’t interrupt the gently undulating surface of the timber.

This floor is fully finished with our natural hardwax oil. Combining beauty with practicality, it has a luxurious matt satin sheen, is hard wearing and can easily be cared for using our Wood Floor Cleaner and Wood Floor Wax.

Hawksmoor Oak Versailles Panels can be used alone, or laid with our Hawksmoor Oak planks as a border.

Our engineered Versailles Panels must be glue fixed to a dry, level, structural subfloor. We recommend adding a wastage allowance of 10-20% to the floor area depending on the angle of installation to allow for offcuts at the edges of the floor. Hawksmoor Versailles Panels are finished with natural  hardwax oil that is designed for modern living and needs only a little regular TLC to keep it looking good. Wash with our Wood Floor Cleaner diluted in water and applied with a mop. Use our Wood Floor Wax to maintain its sheen and help repair day-to-day wear and tear.
