Broadleaf Traditional Oak Flooring is unfinished. The collection is made up of our carefully selected timber grades in both plank and parquet, each capturing a different level of natural variation to create a different look. Made from carefully selected, sustainable European Oak, they cover the spectrum of styles, from the truly rustic to terribly elegant and offer adaptable wood flooring options to suit every interior.

Traditional Oak floors are supplied with any knots or splits that are a feature carefully filled, and will need to be seal with a suitable wood finish after installation.

 

Cottage Oak Parquet Flooring

Ideal for creating a more rustic style of traditional parquet floor, our Cottage Oak Parquet flooring creates a spectrum of warm natural colour variation and smaller knots They look particularly good finished with our Aged Broadleaf Hardwax Oil.

Cottage Parquet flooring is made from the finest solid European Oak in Cottage grade, which features rich natural colour variation and a mix or large and small knots. It is beautifully machined, perfectly proportioned and available in 2 classic sizes that can be used to create herringbone and many other traditional parquet designs.

In traditional style it is supplied completely unfinished, to be sanded and sealed in situ. We would recommend finishing with our Classic Hardwax Oil for a natural looking, hardwearing finish that is easy to care for and repair if necessary.

Contrasting tramlines to create border details are available in a choice of timbers and dimensions to suit your needs and we can offer design advice on exactly how to make these work to effect if required.

Grade: Cottage Oak
Sustainability: Oak sourced from responsibly managed, PEFC and FSC certified European Forests.
Surface Texture: No
Finish: Unfinished – requires sanding and sealing after installation
Underfloor Heating: Suitable for use over UFH in line with our installation guidelines.

Our Solid Oak Parquet flooring must be glue fixed to a dry, level, load bearing subfloor with Broadleaf Ultra Adhesive or equivalent. We recommend adding a wastage allowance of 10-15% to the floor area to allow for offcuts at the edges of the floor. For full fitting recommendations and guidance see our Installation Guide.

Once finished, Cottage Oak Parquet should be maintained in line with the finish manufacturer’s recommendations.

Normal Lead Time – 5-10 working days. All of our flooring is made to order in Wales.
